James and I began this blog at the very beginning of our pregnancy with Wyatt to share and update our new adventures as we became pregnant and start the new season of parenthood. Sixteen weeks into pregnancy, I had to go into surgery to ensure our son would not come too early and shortly after, we found out Wyatt has Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). This is our humble attempt at being transparent and hopefully sharing the joys and love of Christ through this roller coaster ride we're on. And now to share even more with the new miracle on the way.

Wyatt Central

BLOG #2 of the day!

I like to be organized.  BUT.... I am not always so organized or on top of things.  I think it just depends on my mood, how much I want or don't want to deal with whatever it is and many other things... Who knows with me.  Well, with everything going on with Wyatt, all our doctors appointments, insurance, ect... Dr. Gibbin (the fetal cardiologist) suggest a small binder to keep everything in.  Well, I follow the go big or go home rule, sometimes and this was one of those times.  We've already been handed printout on things so I just went with a normal sized binder instead of small.  This is where we put any paperwork we get, write down questions and the answers we receive, put his pictures until I decide what to do with them all, insurance, ect... Here's what it looks like:

Each section has a pocket designated for each of the doctors we see.  So far we've got my general OBGYN, Dr. Hickman, Cardiologist and Insurance.  We've got pockets for NICU and whomever/whatever else is needed.

Behind each section there is some paper for us to write down questions and answers.

The last section is a beast.  Insurance.  Bleh!  We found out that 3 weeks before Wyatt is due, our insurance is changing to a different company!  If you just said "Oh My!" don't worry that's a lot nicer of a thought then I did... my words weren't so pleasant.  We'll get it all figured out.  James is going to HR to ask about what needs to be done.
