I"m behind on my updates, nothing new, right!?! :-)
This will be in picture form...
Our first road trip with our sweet little man. We rode from Sache (Dallas) to Houston (Clear Lake). Wyatt rode great in the car, as usual. :-) We also left a little before bed time on the way down and the way back purposefully, hoping Wyatt would sleep. It worked some.

I could barely get him to take his fingers out of his mouth. #teething |

I absolutely LOVE this kind of grass. Anyone want to come put it in our yard?!? |
I think he sat there by himself without falling down for almost 30 minutes and let me take his picture. :-) My boy is getting so big! |
We had this jumper shipped to Houston because our giant exerciser was too big to pack. He LOVES it! |

Surgery Day
(3-26-13)
Daddy & Wyatt laying in bed at 5am waiting to leave for the hospital. |
It's too early to be out of bed, let alone on our way somewhere... and Brrrrrr, it's cold outside! |
Waiting to be called back to the pre-op room! |
His faces crack me up! |
In his surgery gown, playing with a new toy while waiting. |
Mommy & Daddy had to talk to several doctors and nurses and sign all kinds of paperwork. |
Post surgery, on our way to my room for the night. |
I'm still kind of out of it at this point and they kept the dumb IV in my arm "just in case". I'll just chew on it until they take it off. |
Daddy distracted me with my new surgery bear! |
I got a new mic-key button (at mommy's request) and they did some test on me where they had to strap me to a board and twist me around and take x-rays. |
I didn't like it one bit. |
I slept on and off all day long... and then didn't fall asleep for the night until like 10pm. Mommy was tired but she laid in bed with me to help comfort me. |

It's going home day. I feel great and all the doctors said I'm good to go! |
We are all home now and Wyatt is a fighter. We've cut his pain meds down to "as needed" and they aren't really needed. His groin area is bruised and swollen but the doctor said it should look like that. We have follow up with urology next week some time. It's not scheduled just yet and an appointment with ENT in a couple of weeks.
Here are the surgery day updates from facebook:
The urology part of the surgery is over. The doctor said one side looks great and normal but the other side not so much but we won't know if it is functional until puberty. In his words, nothing to worry about. He'll be pretty sore, bruised and swollen for a couple of days but should be fine in a week! Praise the Lord! Now we are back out in the waiting room for part 2 to be over. God has been comforting us, thankful He's in charge!!
Alright, part 2 was fast. Wyatt is out of surgery and we are with him in recovery waiting for a room for the night. (The norm for these procedure is to go on home but with his lungs they want to watch him overnight.) The nurse said he's doing great on room air, woke up and wiggled and then fell asleep. The ENT doctor is on her way to talk to us. God is so good!
The ENT doctor got in there and saw his adenoids weren't big enough to actually remove but she did cut back the small flap. So Wyatt woke up some more about the time we got to our room and he was not a happy camper. His voice is kind of raspy from having a vent tube in his throat so his cry was so sad. We also heard a cry we have never heard before. I didn't know if he was hungry (we turned his feed off at 2:40am and we've never seen him hungry before to know what that cry sounds like) or if he was in some pain or both. During that time his oxygen dropped pretty low and the nurses had some really concerned looks on their faces and they quickly got his nasal cannula on with oxygen and some Tylenol. He was whiney for a bit but real cuddly! James and I have had lunch and Wyatt is sleeping waking up whining here and there but quickly falls back asleep. We also asked about getting a new button placed (they tend to last about 6 months and we are approaching that time) and so we got to see the NP manipulate, take out and replace a new button. All good for us to see. Thank you for all your prayers. God has answered them all!!! We couldn't have asked for anything more so far!! :)
Thank you SO much for praying for us through this surgery. God is always good. Which brings me to...
HAPPY EASTER!!

"mommy, what do you have me wearing?!?" |
"Well son, we can't take you to have your picture taken with the Easter bunny, so I'll just dress you like him instead!" |
"You silly mommy, you told me the Easter bunny isn't real and that it's about Jesus!"
You're right sweet boy, the bunny is just for fun and it is all about Jesus! |
Isolation no more! We are out and about but with caution. We still can't be around anyone sick but no longer require shots... at least until next flu/RSV season. :-)
Watch out world, here we come! :-) Praying for protection!
So glad isolation is over and you get to have family outings!
