James and I began this blog at the very beginning of our pregnancy with Wyatt to share and update our new adventures as we became pregnant and start the new season of parenthood. Sixteen weeks into pregnancy, I had to go into surgery to ensure our son would not come too early and shortly after, we found out Wyatt has Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). This is our humble attempt at being transparent and hopefully sharing the joys and love of Christ through this roller coaster ride we're on. And now to share even more with the new miracle on the way.

It's a.........!

BROTHER!!!!

We are very excited to announce that Baby Davis #2 can now be called Baby BOY Davis #2.

When we in to see the specialist for my pre-op sono and such at 12 weeks, we found out that baby is a boy.

We are over the moon excited that Wyatt will have a brother to grow up and be best friends with.

I am not 15.5 weeks along.  I feel like the time is flying by, in a good way of course.

This was at 13.5 weeks.  I need to take a new picture.

If you look close, the doctor has pointed out where his heart is, his diaphragm that appears to be hole-less and his stomach below his diaphragm!  Praying for all that remain just like that but to grow bigger!

Finding out the gender of our baby at 12 weeks is pretty awesome!

How far along? 15.5 Weeks

Total weight gain: about 3ish pounds

Maternity clothes?  Maternity pants and some tops.

Stretch marks?  Nope.  Praise be to God!

Sleep: Praising God for an elevated energy level!  And Wyatt has been sleeping good too!  Yah!

Best moment this week:  I’m pretty sure I can feel him move some.  Not a lot but here and there I think I do.  I felt Wyatt 16 weeks, so we are close.

Miss Anything?  Caffine.

Movement:  Yes! I am pretty sure I felt him some this week.

Food cravings: Pizza.  I want it all the time.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just some of Wyatt’s blended food.

Gender:  It’s a boy as of our 12 weeks appointment!

Symptoms:  Growing belly and energy return.

Belly Button in or out?   In.

Wedding rings on or off?   On.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy.

Looking forward to:   More movement and figuring out a name for this little guy!   This will be a tough one for James and I to come together on.  We both go about this process so differently.  I've created a color coded spread sheet!  lol.  God already knows this little boy by name and will reveal it to us totally on his time... no matter how impatient I may be.  lol.

11 & 12 Weeks, Round Two

11 weeks and 1 day.

Always stealing kisses.

Practicing high fives with Mr. Justin in preparations for Miss Amber's wedding.

A couple weeks ago, I had one of the worst days ever.
Wyatt threw up TWICE in his car seat on the way to therapy.
Car seat throw ups are the worst.
Then he pulled his g-button out and then threw up down the INSIDE of his Mehta cast.
That day, I felt like I had about a million and one problems.
I sent this to James.

Wyatt sitting in his CLEAN car seat after throwing up in it twice in a matter of minutes.
Taking these things apart to clean is a beast.

Wyatt says, "I don't need a doctor to look at my arm, I've got this!"

Ortho appt scheduled during NAP TIME means falling asleep in the stroller.

Stealing Mommy's pillow.

I guess healing broken bones and growing straight spines is hard work because this
kid fell asleep sitting up in her high chair and let me transfer him to my arms.

How far along? 12 Weeks

Total weight gain: about 2 pounds

Maternity clothes?  I’m beginning to prefer my maternity pants, especially when I know I’m going to be sitting for any period of time.

Stretch marks?  Nope.  Praise be to God!

Sleep: Praising God for an elevated energy level!  I’m still tired a lot but I’m chasing an energetic two year old around day and night.

Best moment this week:  Getting to the end of the first trimester.

Miss Anything?  Soda and caffeine.

Movement:  Not feeling anything yet but we did see it on the sonogram last week.

Food cravings: Pizza.  I want it all the time.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just some of Wyatt’s blended food.

Gender:  No news yet but we see the specialist on Monday, Oct. 6th and should be going every two weeks from here on out.

Symptoms:  Growing belly and energy return.

Belly Button in or out?   In.

Wedding rings on or off?   On.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy.

Looking forward to:   Seeing our sweet baby on Monday and getting surgery details.

Funny selfie faces make us laugh!

All smiles.  :-)
